We arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam exhausted after the 15 hours flight from San Francisco to Taipei and then, another 5 hours from Taipei to Hanoi. Sadly, when we checked in at the transfer counter, we were told that our flight to Laos was delayed for another 9 hours.

This has the most interesting part of flying. Because the airport was so small, all passengers had to get off the plane into the ground…

and then, take a bus shuttle to get to the Hanoi Airport.

The airport did not offered much of anything. There weren’t many food courts around, but there were plenty of vendors who sold these water bottles for $1:

Aa Vietnamese sale clerk explained to me that there were currently 55 ethnic groups living in Vietnam and these dolls represented a small percentage of them:
